Concussion Management Program

Concussion, the most common form of traumatic brain injury, affects people of all ages. This injury is typically caused by a direct blow to the head.

EMMC’s Concussion Management Program is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that includes concussion-trained primary care providers, physical therapists, mental health providers, physicians who perform osteopathic manipulation, and others.

Our program is appropriate for:

  • Children who have a suspected concussion and are working toward getting back to school. EMMC’s Concussion Management Program facilitates 504 plans and works with schools to provide accommodations for students.
  • Athletes who experience a sports-related concussion and need to be cleared to return to play
  • Children or adults who have symptoms caused by a traumatic injury or fall
  • Anyone who has concussion symptoms and has seen another provider
