Our Family Medicine faculty are the backbone of our clinical teaching. They serve as the attending physicians on our inpatient adult medicine, obstetrics and nursery services, and inpatient osteopathic medicine consult service as well as provide precepting within the clinic. Our pediatric faculty assist in precepting, as well as cover inpatient pediatric service, and our behavioral medicine faculty provide valuable input into resident training and expertise in the area of mental health for our patients.

We are also fortunate to have an extended network of community based faculty. Community faculty precept at the hospital and at the family medicine center and offer an added dimension of experience and knowledge gained from the practice of family medicine in rural areas.

Our resident physicians work in a collaborative team which also includes family nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, a practice manager, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and medical assistants. These extenders help instill a commitment to a team approach to medical care and are one of the greatest assets to our program.
