EMMC Neuropsychology

Neuropsychological evaluations are usually recommended for adults when there are symptoms or complaints involving memory or thinking. Other symptoms that may warrant evaluation include changes in concentration, organization, reasoning, language, perception, coordination, or personality. These changes may be due to a number of medical, neurological, acquired psychological, or genetic causes.

Pediatric neuropsychological evaluation helps build a profile of a child’s functioning in areas such as memory, attention, perception, coordination, language, and personality. Children referred for a neuropsychological evaluation typically are experiencing problems such as: difficulty with learning, attention and behavior; a disease or developmental problem affecting the brain; or a brain injury from an accident, birth trauma, or other physical stress.
