Be a Miracle Maker - Help CMN Help Local Children

05/26/2009

Now, more than ever the children of central, eastern, and northern Maine need your help. Each year the Children’s Miracle Network of EMHS helps support more than a hundred thousand pediatric visits to one of our system hospitals in Bangor, Blue Hill, Greenville, Pittsfield, Presque Isle and Waterville - we can’t do it without your support.

This Saturday, May 30 from noon – 8 pm WABI TV-5 will host the Children's Miracle Network of EMHS Telethon from center court of  the Bangor Mall. Please stop by and say hello, or be a Miracle Maker and call in your pledge of $10 a month. Every dollar raised here stays here and will make a difference in the life of a child in our region of Maine.

Just ask the Bruce family of Hampden who relied on EMMC’s  Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to save the lives of their premature twins; or Zack Nickerson of Corinth who was kept alive and made healthy enough for a double lung transplant in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at EMMC. Then there are stories like the Goodrich’s of Winslow who had the ideal birthing experience at Waterville’s Inland Hospital in a state-of-the-art birthing center paid for with your gifts to CMN, or Evan Houppi of Presque Isle who was born prematurely and had the specialized equipment needed at The Aroostook Medical Center - all thanks to your support through CMN.

The last thing you want to think about when your child is sick or injured is where they are going to receive care. Through your support of CMN, our children will receive the highest quality care close to home. Please help us make this the most successful telethon ever.

The 2009 CMN of EMHS Telethon will be Saturday May 30, 2009 noon to 8 pm and will once again come to you live from center court of the Bangor Mall.

Be sure to tune in for the compelling miracle stories from throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine.  Or visit the mall and come share your own “Miracle’ story if you have one.
