Cancer Survivor Day

05/24/2010

On Sunday, June 6 Eastern Maine Medical Center’s CancerCare of Maine will host its annual Cancer Survivor Day at the Bangor Waterfront. The event is free and starts at 2pm. We will honor survivors, co-survivors and this year’s Community Support Award recipient. A variety of entertainment is scheduled starting with Maine Humorist Clay Folsom at 2:30pm, and classical folk rock from Aztec Two Step at 3:30pm. Food is being provided by Steve’s Stagecoach Express and ice cream from John’s.

If you have ever heard the words, “you have cancer,” you are a survivor. Join millions of others across the nation as they, too, celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day.

The event includes educational booths and a children’s activity tent. All cancer survivors, their families, and friends are invited to come celebrate and enjoy the day. The event will be held rain or shine.
