(Bangor, Maine) – EMMC Northeast Cardiology Associates welcomes Eddy Karnabi, MD, PhD, FASE, to our team of cardiologists. Dr. Karnabi, who prefers patients and colleagues call him by his first name, Eddy, began seeing patients at the end of July.

Eddy comes to us from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, where he was the chief cardiology fellow. Prior to that, he studied internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, received his PhD at SUNY’s Downstate Medical Center, and earned his doctor of medicine at Kursk State Medical University.

Eddy, who practices general cardiology but is most passionate about echocardiography and cardiac imaging, says that it’s the people he meets that are the most important factor in deciding where to practice.

“One of the main factors I look for when I’m choosing a position is the people,” Eddy says, “and to know that I’ll enjoy doing the work.”
