Lights of Hope

12/08/2009

EMMC’s CancerCare of Maine invites you to be a part of the first ever Lights of Hope celebration at our new Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer. We are continuing our tradition by honoring or remembering a loved one. Consider purchasing a light to decorate our Lights of Hope tree located at the new cancer center at 33 Whiting Hill Road in Brewer. Each shining light on the tree represents someone whose life has been touched by cancer, and the tree itself symbolizes hope.

CancerCare of Maine will celebrate the person or people you have chosen to pay tribute to by displaying their name or names at CancerCare of Maine, and you will receive a special Lights of Hope card to send to those you honored with the gift.

You are also invited to a special lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 17 at 5:30 pm, located outside the Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer. During the ceremony, the Lights of Hope tree will be illuminated. A reception with refreshments and holiday music will directly follow the ceremony. We hope that you are able to join us.

With support from community members like you, last year, the Lights of Hope tribute to loved ones raised nearly $20,000 for technology and support services at CancerCare of Maine.
