  The Annual Kitchen Tour

Kitchen Tour Rooster

Many thanks to all who contributed to the great success of our eighth annual Kitchen Tour.  We raised over $10,000 and had a wonderful day veiwing outstanding homes, snacking on delicious treats and enjoying great company. All funds raised by the tour go toward completing our pledge to Heroes, Hope and Healing, the capital campaign for the new pediatric oncology floor at the Lafayette Family Cancer Center; nursing scholarships and Children’s Miracle Network to benefit children in eastern and northern Maine.

Click here to view a virtual tour of this year’s kitchens.

169 Howard StreetWhen you visit the ‘50s style kitchen on Howard Street, you will be transported back to that era by the fine staging work of Deb Dall and Kerri Lynch of Mainely Interiors. Hostesses will wear period costumes provided by Penobscot Theatre, a piano player will entertain you with music from the ever-popular Forever Plaid and don’t miss Tim Bernard’s ‘57 Chevy in the driveway. We had a sneak peak of the rockin’ fun time you can expect at this kitchen when we went to the fantastic photo shoot by Don Darling and Joel Holcomb.

Joseph Low HouseOne historical Bangor home built in 1857 for Joseph Low and located next to the Bangor Standpipe has been restored to its original glory by the current owners. You will find beautiful inlaid wood floors, several Monson Slate sinks and custom trim work throughout the downstairs.
