How We Hire

  After Acceptance of Offer

The recruiter will schedule your new hire visit as well as your drug screen and physical appointments.  You will also be scheduled for hospital orientation.

At the Human Resources visit you will complete your new hire paperwork, receive your hospital orientation schedule and have your badge photo taken. 

You will be asked to provide:

  • A voided check or deposit slip for your direct deposi
  • Your identification for completing your I-9
  • If you wish to have parking privileges on campus we will need the vehicle registration information to issue your parking permit
  • The rest of the paperwork will be gone over and only require a signature.
  • At the Employee Health Services visit you will receive an occupational physical, submit for your drug screen, and provide immunization information. 
  • You will also need to present identification at the Employee Health Services appointment to submit for your drug screen.
  • Employee Health Services will also send you information in the mail about your appointment.
  • Please complete all forms prior to your appointment
  • You can expect a call from your hiring manager to welcome you to their department and to schedule your departmental orientation
  After the interview - Referencing
  • Referencing typically takes three business days.
  • If we have difficulty obtaining references, we will ask for your assistance; either by supplying more professional references or by asking your references to contact us.
  Applications are received and reviewed
  • Your application will be reviewed by a Human Resources Representative (Employment Coordinator or Recruiter).
  • If your application is sent on for further review, it will then be reviewed by the Hiring Manager.
  How we communicate to you
  • You will receive email communication from Human Resources as your application makes its way through the process.
  • All communication is done via email, unless it is to schedule an interview or offer a position. These are done by phone. Please check email frequently to let you know where your application is in the process.
  • You may check the status of your online application at anytime by logging in with your user name and password.
  • If you are not selected for further review, an interview or conditional offer of employment, you will be sent an email stating that we are pursuing more qualified applicants
  Interview Selection and Process
  • Once applicants are chosen for an interview by the hiring manager, an Employment Coordinator calls to schedule the interviews.
  • If selected, you will be asked to provide at the time of the interview, a complete work history, starting from the very first job you’ve ever had.
  • Please provide any letters of recommendation you may have or other references you’d like to use that are not listed on your application.
  • If selected for an interview, please be prepared for an interview that could last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 ½ hours.
  • During the interview process, the recruiter will ask you if it is ok to contact all of your previous supervisors as well as your references.
  • The interview process can include a departmental interview as well as a team interview.
  Offers of Employment
  • Once references are completed and you are the chosen applicant, the recruiter will extend a formal, conditional job offer.
  • If you accept the conditional job offer next steps include a Human Resources new hire appointment with an Employment Coordinator as well as an appointment with Employee Health Services to complete your pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • The details of the conditional offer of employment will be emailed to you by the recruiter
