  Empty Arms

A support group for parents grieving infant and pregnancy loss.

The mission of Empty Arms is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life.

The loss of a child – at 9 weeks, 40 weeks, or after birth can be earth shattering in its magnitude. The feelings of sadness and emptiness are overwhelming and difficult for most to understand.

We understand. We are parents who have lost babies of our own and have found that being part of a community of parents who understand is often the first step toward healing.

In this monthly, open meeting, we share our experiences and reflect upon our struggles to grieve, heal, and grow. Empty Arms meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30-8 pm at One Cumberland Place, Suite 300, in Bangor.

For more information, please contact Pam Houston at 973-8742 or phouston@emh.org.
