Corey Webb, PA-C works with all gastric bypass patients who are 18 months or more past surgery and have been referred to him by their bariatric surgeon.
Corey works at the Diabetes, Endocrine, and Nutrition Center of Eastern Maine Medical Center. His primary responsibilities include the care of pediatric diabetes patient's. In addition he also sees adult diabetic patients as well as post surgical weight loss patients for medical management. Prior to coming to the Eastern Maine Medical Center six years ago, Corey was in family practice medicine for approximately ten years.
Corey studied Pre-Med at the University of Maine in Orono and then transferred to Alderson- Broaddus College in West Virginia. He completed a double major in Biology and Medical Science. In 1996, Corey graduated from physician assistant school with double Gold Star recognition from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in both surgery and family practice.
Corey grew up in this area and decided to return to Maine for his career. His role in your follow-up care as a post surgical weight loss surgery patient is threefold. First, he will review your goal weight and compare that to what has been achieved. Second, he will discuss any medical problems that may have arisen during or since your surgery as well as any physical complications you may be having. Finally, he will review your screening labs and make any suggestions for vitamin replacement as necessary.
