All Eastern Maine Medical Center facilities now have power and all services are expected to operate on schedule on Thursday, November 2.

Warming Shelters

Are you or a loved one without power at home? Consider going to a local warming shelter. Patients with medical devices who require electricity for their devices may go to these centers provided they do not need medical care. Safety Tips

  • Restoration Crews:  Please stay away from the restoration crews. It is a DANGER ZONE and a safety issue. Additionally, it slows the crews down and delays restoration efforts when they stop to answer questions.
  • Generator Safety: Please follow recommendations or user instructions for generator safety. Tips can be found here: https://www.fema.gov/news-release/2008/07/13/be-safe-when-using-portable-generator
  • Hunting Season: Please exercise caution and avoid shooting when DOT and power line crews are in the area.
  • Railroads: There are multiple railway crossings that are without power. Please exercise caution when crossing at railroad crossings.
