Patient Satisfaction Measures

We at Eastern Maine Medical Center care about what our patients think and are committed to improving their experience while in our hospital. We have measured patient satisfaction for the past seven years and are proud of our excellent results. In fact, Eastern Maine Medical Center has received the Avatar Exemplar Service Overall Best Performer award in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009.

We measure five indicators of patient satisfaction: overall satisfaction, inpatient satisfaction, outpatient satisfaction, emergency room satisfaction and physician practice satisfaction.
